The Wise Guy Burger

Recently I was made hip to Red Robin's Wise Guy Burger. In addition to the standard patty and bun the burger features mozzarella sticks, marinara sauce, pepperoni slices, banana peppers and tomato.

I'd never been to Red Robin (based mainly on the fact that the nearest location was about 40 minutes away) but after reading about this limited time burger a trip was mandatory. I went to the Red Robin website and was happy to find that a new location had opened closer to home.

I headed over for dinner one night and took a seat at the bar. With no real need to comb over the menu I went ahead and ordered the Wise Guy cooked rare. A few minutes later I was enjoying my meal.

Sadly the burger was nowhere near rare but that didn't effect my enjoyment one bit. Simply put the burger was amazing. The patty wasn't the biggest but coupled with the other ingredients the whole was definitely greater than the sum of its parts. 

An added bonus was the endless seasoned fries which were better than average compared to say a Friday's or Applebee's.

If it was a tad bit closer to my house I would probably hit up Red Robin every few weeks.
