The List...

In response to Spin's list of the greatest frontmen of all time, here is my top 10:

10- Otis Day (DeWayne Jessie) - Two words: Animal House.

09- David Byrne - The leader of Talking Heads proved that nerds can rock too.

08 - Rob Halford - No other singer could make "Hot leather dudes" walking into a club sound like a good thing.

07 - David Lee Roth - Perhaps the most quotable rock star on the planet.

06 - Robert Plant - The voice of "The Mighty" Led Zep, and the only guy that could sing about Hobits and still get laid.

05 - Mike Patton - No singer has taken more chances in their career and succeeded than Patton.

04 - Paul Stanley - The leader of the "Kiss Army," and one of the best rock singers of all time.

03 - Jim Morrison - Part poet, part jack ass, JM made self-mockery an art form.

02 - Vince Neil - A lousy singer and frontman, but he bagged Janine Lindemulder and caught the whole thing on tape. Way to go, Vince!

01- Mick - 'Nuff said.

Hey! How come Prince isn't on your list!

I'm glad to see you gave Paul his props, and I can't argue with Mick. However, while I concede that Vince Neil is a lousy singer, he was still a decent frontman. And didn't that guy legally change his name to Otis Day?
