Exhumed Films' 24 Hour Horror-Thon 2011 Part 1

October 29, 2011

12:15pm: "Sometimes you scare me."

After a brief announcement and a series of giveaways we jump into the first feature. The Exhumed bumper plays (with live in theater soundtrack).

1st Feature: The Death Wheelers (1973)

AKA Psychomania. Undead bikers run amok in this fun little romp from the UK.

1:45pm: Trailer Reel #1: "Giant Monster Movies"
Godzilla '85, Godzilla 2000, Creatures the World Forgot, 1000 Million Years B.C., King Kong ('77), Gorgo, Cloverfield

2:15pm: "Guards help! There's a monster here!"

2nd Feature: Rodan (1956)

Though I have seen quite a few films featuring Rodan I'd never seen the debut film before.

Trailer Reel #2: "Horror Stars"
Previews of coming attractions for: Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Scars of Dracula/Horror of Frankenstein double feature, House of 1000 Dolls, (Italian dubbed) Re-Animator, The Oblong Box, Frankenstein Created Women/The Mummy's Shroud double feature, The Creeping Flesh.

3:40pm: "Ladies and gentlemen. A toast to me"

3rd Feature: Frightmare (1983)

A recently deceased horror icon returns from the dead.

5:10pm: "Well, let's go shopping."

4th Feature: Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986)

Michael Rooker and Tom Towles star in this semi-fictional account of serial killer Henry Lee Lucas. Intense and masterfully made. Glad that my first viewing of this was on film.
