The summer 2010 movie season gave movie fans three different team films to choose from. Each film brought something different to the table but at the end of the summer they couldn't help but be lumped together.
So which team film was the best of the summer? Of course that's subjective but not here. After all this is my site so I can give you a definitive answer.
I'll rank the 3 films using a few different criteria.
1: The Team.
2: The Plot.
3. The Action.
4. The Bad Guys
1: The Team. The Losers win this one. The group felt and acted like a unit who have been together for a long time. Each had a clear-cut specialty that contributed to the overall success of the team.
2: The Plot. The A-Team win this one. I'd explain it but I don't have enough space.
3: The Action. The Expendables win this one by a nose as all 3 films had some great sequences. The Expendables gets the win because it had the most variety. It truly had a sequence for every kind of action fan. Guns and explosions? Check. Hand to hand combat? Check? Car chases? Check. More explosions? Check!
4: The Bad Guys. This is another close call and will determine the best team film of the summer 2010 season. Jason Patric is great in the The Losers but The Expendables with the one two punch (get it?) combo of Eric Roberts and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gives it the win.
Congrats team!
