"Children of the Grave" as the closer for Live Evil isn't surprising as the band seemed to close with it a lot.
It's a great song and an excellent performance from the band. This is a song much more suited for Dio's skill set and he really nails it, delivering a vocal performance that surely sent the fans home happy.
Looking back at it this might be one of the strongest sets from a major Black Sabbath line-up.* It includes songs from the band's two most popular eras and does the fans a great service.
After "Children of the Grave" a recording of the acoustic piece "Fluff" plays while the fans exit the arena. This would become another staple of the live Black Sabbath experience.
Live Evil is a better than average live album and one that I will most likely find myself revisiting every now and then.
Tomorrow I begin to explore an album I haven't listened to since its release in 1992, Dehumanizer!
* The tour in support of Dehumanizer offered a great, varied set as well but no official live release exists. For those curious to explore further look for the Dehumanzing Rio or Black Bloody Black bootlegs.
